I specialize in putting day-to-day business on the web. In 1999, I guided a team that was acknowledged as one of Canada's Top Technology Suppliers by the Canadian Information Productivity Awards, for network specification and evaluation work done for an RFP issued by Ontario Parks for their 1-800 OPRRS Call Center project.
My industry involvment has included many contributions to working forums such as the W3C. Along the way I have published six titles on UNIX, Linux, XML and Web services. I am also actively involved as a SME and instructor for three major industry professional certifications including (1) UNIX Problem Determination on SMP / MPP, Performance and Fine Tuning SMP / MPP, (2) Application Server Administration and Configuration and (3) Web Services Design. As a result I have authored several courses on UNIX, Linux, XML and Application Server Administration and Configuration that support current 2008-2009 formal certification testing for Comptia and IBM requirements.
In addition to client engagement work, I provide extensive guidance and mentoring to less experienced consulting professionals. As a lead I am considered an expert in this arena, sought out by management, technical and other business groups for advice and counsel regarding IT environment assessment, design, deployment and operations throughout the world.
